Surprisingly low investor sentiment in equities

Financial markets remain unsettled by developments in the Middle East. As already seen in late March, oil sentiment is very bullish, while professional investors in particular do not believe in persistently high oil prices. We are measuring a comparable sentiment picture in equities as well. Short-term uncertainty? Yes. A medium-term problem? No. And because investors tend to follow sentiment in their positioning behaviour, the positives currently prevail despite seasonality.
