Afraid of (almost) nothing

The US midterm elections take place next week. In terms of sentiment, investors have so far shown only moderate concern about possible changes in the political environment and their impact on the financial markets. For technology stocks, by contrast, scepticism is considerably more pronounced. A look at portfolios also shows that investors are already acting more cautiously and have noticeably reduced their risks. Opportunities are currently emerging above all in Chinese equities and precious metals.
